Emergency shutdown

We pulled the plug.

A critical security vulnerability in PHP was disclosed and it puts every PHP-based system at risk. To protect your data and our infrastructure, we have shut down all PHP-based systems, including the management interface of the Campus Cloud. Exploit code is already in circulation. It is still untested, but we are not willing to wait and find out how well it works.

Current status

  • Campus Cloud management interface Offline
  • Other PHP-based systems Offline
  • Official PHP patch Released
  • Patching our systems In progress
  • Return to service Date TBD

What this means for you

You cannot log in to, or manage, your containers and VMs through the web interface until further notice.

Please do not try to work around the shutdown.

Your data

The shutdown is a precaution. We have no indication that your data has been affected. We took the systems offline proactively, rather than wait for exploitation attempts.

What happens next

  1. Systems shut downExposure removed.
  2. Assess & patchThe official PHP patch has been released. We are applying it to our systems right now.
  3. Restore serviceBack online as soon as it is safe.

The official patch is out and we are implementing it, but we do not yet know exactly when the systems will be available again. We will inform you as soon as we do. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Safety first, then speed.
